Jewish Evangelism Ministry

Purpose

“Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God for Israel is for their salvation” (Romans 10:1). With a sincere desire to bring the Good News of the Jewish Messiah “to the Jew first” (Romans 1:16), the Jewish Evangelism Ministry at First Baptist Church of Navarre exists to diligently pray for, to effectively evangelize, to intentionally disciple, and to faithfully serve the Jewish people in the Navarre community, and ultimately to train up fellow believers to do the same.

Goals

According to the Ministry Area Profile for 2017 conducted by Ethos, 3.5% of the population in Navarre, FL is self-identifiably Jewish. This percentage, spanning a 10-mile radius, is .3% above the national average. The State of Israel, as of 2017, contains over 6 million Jewish citizens in need of their Messiah. The current vision of the Jewish Evangelism Outreach Ministry is to witness the Jewish community of Navarre, as well as the international Jewish community in Israel, “saved and come into the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:4). This ministry will seek to accomplish this vision through a 3-week discipleship class focused on learning culturally-sensitive Jewish Evangelism,* a Friday Sabbath service conducted on the first Friday of every month,** and a yearly mission trip to the State of Israel. ***
